Rotary has been touching lives for over a century! It was a time of merriment as Rotary Club of Kakuri-Kaduna RID 9125 marked the 112th year of Rotary’s service to humanity. The February born Rotarians were also celebrated in grand style. A talk on “Doing Good in the World” and cutting of Cake/presentation of card during fellowship on Tuesday 28th February, 2017.

We, a group of Rotarians from different countries (Nepal, India, Australia, Canada, United States, United Kingdom), celebrated 112th Rotary Anniversary in a community school of Jyamrung village in Dhading, Nepal by distributing cultural dresses for school children, drums, and music instrument for school and in the evening we along with Interactors and RCC members jointly lighted up 112 lamps.

The Rotary Club of Yeppoon, Queensland, Australia celebrated by chartering our second Interact Club on the 112th Anniversary of Rotary. We now have one of the longest continuous running Interact Clubs in Australia, St. Ursula’s College and the youngest, ST. Brendan’s College. We see these young women and men as the future of Rotary.We celebrated the event with 61 Rotarians, Interactors and guests.

No final, como sempre em grande ambiente festivo, cantaram-se os “parabéns”, houve bolo de aniversário e um cocktail de boas vindas.

Our club Rotary club of Port Harcourt D9140 celebrated 112 years of rotary and 100 years of rotary foundation by the ground breaking ceremony of our global Grant water and sanitation project at community secondary school Rumuekini and electing President and board members of proposed interact club of community secondary school , Rumuekini Port Harcourt on 23rd February 2017. The ground breaking ceremony was performed by our Past district Governor Ijeoma Okoro and coordinated by Rotarian President Dan Harrison and Club’s grants chair Georgiana Ngeri Nwagha.

Pinellas Park Rotary club went to Richard Sanders school for student of the month and educated them on what Rotary stands for and what we do good in the world. We also told them one of our main goals is to get rid the world of Polio. So many of the children did not know what it even was. We explained to them what it was and how it effect peoples lives. We told them that they are blessed that we work so hard to free the world of this awful disease.

After culting the anniversary cake,we also designated all monies realised at the meeting to rotary foundatio.

The biggest joy in life comes from bringing smiles in the lives of others.Rotary Club of Delhi Cosmopolitan Greater, RI District 3011 from New Delhi ,India celebrated this very act of happiness on the 112th birthday of Rotary.
Our club members visited Akshar – a Gurgaon based NGO that works for the upliftment of underpriveledged children. We distributed school bags, stationery items, books ,sports goods and chocolates to the students studying there. The joy of receiving these gifts was unsurpassable in the eyes of the little ones. Together we sang songs and had fun with them and spent some memorable time. Truly,it was a day to cherish and be elated as we lived up to the motto of Rotary -serving humanity!!

Nós do Rotary Club Guarulhos Sul Distrito 4430 no Brasil, celebramos os 112 anos do Rotary, com um delicioso almoço onde estavam presentes representantes três entidades sociais atendidas pelo nosso clube, estava presente jovens do Rotaract e Interact e também membros da comunidade, houve apresentação de música, palestras e muita comemoração.

The Rotary Club of Blayney (D9700-Australia) completed fundraising on 23 February 2017 of a total sum of $A184,000 to fund a palliative care unit at Blayney Hospital. Contracts will be signed next week and construction completed well before end June. A project of this size can only be completed by a large degree of community support (Shire size 7,000), which was forthcoming as there is a recognised need for this facility in the local area. . This is a great result for not only Blayney Rotary but also for Rotary in general as it demonstrates that even small Rotary clubs can deliver real value for their community. This is a great way to celebrate the founding of Rotary in 1905.

This momentous occasion was made possible through the generosity of these invididuals:
Congressional Spouse PP Emily Alvarez for her personal coordination among the offices in Congress
PP Cristy Bersola for preparing the necessary communications to initiate the House Resolution
PP Annie Shotwell for coordinating with the office of Congressman Gus Tambunting.

This initiative brings renewed social consciousness and appreciation for the service and humanitarian efforts of over 20,000 Rotarians in the Philippines.
