Rotary clubs worldwide marked the 111th anniversary of the first Rotary club meeting by holding an event, hosting a fundraiser, or lighting a notable building. Thanks to the more than 70 clubs that sent us photos of their events, some of which are shown above. We could not use them all, but clubs are also posting their photos on Facebook using #RI111.

We , Rotary Club of Thuckalay ( District 3212 ) did welfare projects to needy people by our members…we celebrate the day with on the same month our club charter day. We enjoyed that being a Gift to the World..

On the occasion of rotary 111 anniversary the following. rograms have been conducted by our Guntakal club dist.3160.
1. Interact Club Charter Ceremony – Presented Charter Certificate and Id cards to interacts.
2. Celebrated Rotary International Anniversary by cutting cake with the Interact Charter Members.
3. Donated one load dana n medicines for cows in goshala. (cow shed)
4. Donated 20000/- towards Rotary Crematorium.

We Rotary club of Shirdi Saibaba Rotarians celebrated our 111 rotary year coordinately with Rahata rural hospital ‘s Doctors team by taking camp of toung tie operations of economical backward children age 5 years to 13 years were operated . 20 beneficiaries took advantage of the camp .

The new Rotary Club of Rochester Southeast (District 7120) had sort of a grand “trifecta” event. We celebrated our special Charter Night Dinner with at least 75 distinguished Rotarians, several District Governors on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 on “the day” of Rotary’s 111th Anniversary. AND… We had 23 Charter Members plus one (1) new member. See the “23” members on the “23rd” of February coincidence? District Governor Bill Gormont of the Rotary Club of Greece NY was the guest speaker program. People after the event said there was a terrific energy in the room. And an excitement the whole Rotary District 7120 felt. ~~ Dave “Bippy” Boyer, Chartering president and multiple Paul Harris Fellow.

The Rotary Club of Rosario Magdiwang celebrate Rotary’s 111th Anniversary and Post Valentine last Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Rodley’s Grill and Seafood Restaurant, Kawit, Cavite. Almost all members are present together with their anns and spouses. They enjoyed with lot of foods, games, gifts and raffle prizes.
For finale, a Rotary birthday cake were blown by their president, WCP Maria Cecilia C. Reyes hoping and praying for more years of Rotary doing SERVICE ABOVE SELF.

The Rotary club of Chelwood Bridge , D1200, through its charity project Water Survival Box with the help of the Rotary club of Dorcherster packed 111 boxes in stead of the normal 60 at a packing session on Rorarys birthday!

All three Paterson, NJ Rotary Clubs in District 7490 joined together last night at the Paterson Museum to celebrate Rotary’s 111th birthday. More than 70 guests, about half of them already Rotarians and the rest potential Rotarians joined us. The museum curator, a Rotarian, set up a special exhibit on Rotary history and the projects of all three clubs. district Governor Peter Wells joined us. Former Paterson Mayor and Honorary Rotarian Pat Kramer presented a proclamation from Mayor Joey Torres declaring February 23rd as Rotary Day in Paterson. Two Rotarians baked wonderful Rotary cuocakes and. Akes.

Happy 111th year Anniversary and 30th year of Polio Plus! Our club celebrated it during our regular club meeting last night February 24, 2016. We had a Rotary birthday cake with sparkling triple 1 candles, a tarpuline that says the big event, 3 # 1 shaped golden ballons and a sumptous native diinner! We really celebrated Rotary with a bang and sharing great thoughts of how Rotary is really a gift to the world that really helped the people in our community in our own little ways because we are still a small club and struggling to be bigger! We hope and pray for more years of Rotary- SERVICE ABOVE SELF in our community!

The Rotary Club of Ryde and Water Aid

In 1994 the Rotary Club of Ryde approached the owners of Waltzing Waters with a plan to build a wishing well and collect funds for Water Aid, a worldwide charity that provides clean water and toilets to communities in Africa and Asia.

The most recent project involved a donation of £13,500 to a hospital in Kiomiboi, Tanzania. This hospital only had access to clean water through one tap and our donation will provide a constant supply of clean water, better toilets and help promote hygiene education.

Additionally, the UK Government has pledged to double donations to Water Aid for the next three months effectively increasing our donation to £27,000 and providing funds for another project.

The fundraising at Waltzing Waters has been so successful that in the 21 years we have raised in excess of £250,000 for numerous Water Aid projects in East Africa.

We invited all past Rotarians of the club and showcased our projects.They evinced a keen interest in our working and desired to be a part of the club once again. A cake to mark 111 years of service and fellowship through Rotary was cut . The meeting attended by all spouses was followed by a melodious musical evening.

Rotary’s 111th anniversary was celebrated by the completion of 8 Cataract operations for villagers from our adopted village Paikrapur, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Thanks to the Rotary Eye Hospital and the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Royale, the operations were successful and villagers repatriated to their homes. With these 8 operations, ROTARY has helped to restore to vision to 32 villagers from Paikrapur this Rotary year.

Is it the truth? ( We decided to hold a contest opposing teams “would I lie to you” )
Is it fair to all concerned? ( we had a very good adjudicator he would be very fair )
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
( We would be building on our friendships with old members with the younger members)
Will it be beneficial to all concerned? ( The 2 teams and the audience would benefitted greatly. This would bring in fellowship which in turn would help us all work together on future projects, All for the betterment of society in general)

111th Rotary Anniversary was Celebrated by Rotary Club of Karachi Sunset Millennium, District 3271, Pakistan, with the inauguration of the Science Lab at DCTO School Lyari on Feb 23rd, 2016, by DG Jhangir Mogul. The DCTO Academy was adopted by Kiran Foundation about 8 months ago. RCKSM has donated science equipment for the Physics, Chemistry and Biology Labs. Thanks to Rotary Pakistan Literacy Mission over 2500 books have also been donated to the school’s Primary and Secondary libraries! #Rotary

We , Rotary Club of Coimbatore ( District 3201 ) donated US $ 19030 ( Indian Rs 12.56 lakhs ) to RI Polio Fund on 11-02-2016 through WGM fund raising project amongst our own members… We enjoyed that being a Gift to the World.. we shall increase it by another US $ 1515 making the total contribution to US $ 20545 ( Rs 13.56 lakhs)….

We are hosting a lunch for all family members at a farm house where also some guest will be invited and speakers will eulogise the deeds of Rotary through its passage from 1905 to present. A display of banners of club’s humanitarian projects for non members to understand the theme and concept of Rotary world.
